Welcome to Rad Reads, a podcast about reading rad things. In this first episode, I introduce myself and my cohost, the Rad Reverend (who will likely join me for several episodes in the future). We talk about our favorite and perhaps most seminal rad reads by authors such as CS Lewis and JRR Tolkien (and how many times the Rad Reverend has read the entire LOTR trilogy); how redemptive stories inform good preaching; and finally our current rad reads— a biography on a certain oil tycoon and an insane southern gothic novel by one of my favorite authors!
Future Rad Reads episodes will touch on more books we like reading as well as controversies and topics relevant to what, why, and how we read. Rad Reads will also include exclusive narrations of my stories- some of which I introduce here if you aren’t familiar.
